Orrick Residents Hurt in Sunday Crash

Two Orrick residents were left with serious injuries after a two vehicle crash in Ray County Sunday afternoon.

Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol says at 2:15 Sunday afternoon a 2006 Jeep Liberty being driven by 54-year-old Orrick resident Susan E. Martin was northbound on Highway 210 at Brashears Road in Ray County when she pulled into the path of a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee being driven westbound by 39-year-old Camden, Missouri resident Camden D. Summers.

According to the accident report the Martin vehicle then overturned and struck a pole. The report lists both Susan Martin and her 11-year-old female passenger as not wearing seat belts and both suffering serious injuries in the accident. Martin was taken by air ambulance to Center Point Hospital for treatment while the 11-year-old was taken by air ambulance to Children’s Mercy.

No injuries were reported in the Summers vehicle.
