OSHA Fines Jamesport Company For Fatal March Fall

A Jamesport company faces six-figure fines after a fatal fall in March.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration says an 18-year-old working for Troyer Roofing & Coatings fell over 22 feet on March 22.

The teen went into a coma and died five days later.

OSHA fined the company over 200 thousand dollars for five violations.

They reported a foreman and another worker kept working without fall protection after the incident.

Employees also were not properly trained on safety equipment, and its use was optional.

OSHA cited Troyer Roofing & Coatings for similar violations in 2015.
