P-SNAP Benefits Extended Through August With Waiver Request Approval

Missouri’s waiver request to extend the Pandemic Food Stamp/Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program benefits has been approved by the USDA.

The action means that P-SNAP benefits can be extended through the month of August. SNAP households will automatically get the maximum SNAP benefit amount for their household size loaded on their Electronic Benefit Transfer card. The P-SNAP program allows Missouri SNAP households to receive the maximum Food Stamp/SNAP benefit amount for their household size during a state of emergency.

At the end of June, there were nearly 373,000 Missouri households and more than 773,000 individuals receiving SNAP benefits.
