Pair Of Elderly Gallatin Residents Hurt In Rear Ending Accident In Winston

A pair of elderly Gallatin residents were left with minor injuries after a rear ending accident in Winston just before 11:30 Thursday morning.

Troop H of the Highway Patrol says 83-year-old Gallatin resident Ronald K. McNeely was driving a 2015 Nissan Versa westbound on U.S. 69 Highway in Winston at 11:25 A.M. Thursday when his vehicle struck the rear end of a 2021 Chevy Suburban that had slowed for traffic.

McNeely and his passenger, 80-year-old Gerald L. McNeely, were reportedly wearing seat belts at the time of the accident but both suffered minor injuries. They were both taken by Daviess County Ambulance to Cameron Regional medical Center for treatment.

The driver of the Suburban was not hurt.
