Governor Parson Discusses Missouri Joining 22 States in Suing Biden Administration Over Waters of the U.S. Rule

(MISSOURINET) – Missouri has joined 22 other states challenging the Biden administration’s Waters of the United States rule. In a new lawsuit, state attorneys general say the updated WOTUS definition goes beyond the power Congress delegated in the Clean Water Act. Governor Mike Parson says there’s a better definition for WOTUS.

The EPA defends the new rule, saying in a press release that the regulation will move the country closer to “protecting public health”. The rule, which is scheduled to take effect March 20, is currently being considered by the U.S. Supreme Court.
