Parson Makes Appearance At Missouri Western For Ribbon Cutting

Missouri Governor Mike Parson made his first official appearance at an event since his positive COVID-19 test at Missouri Western State University on Tuesday.

The Governor attended the ribbon cutting event that celebrated the completion of Missouri Western’s Center for Excellence in Applied Health Care Learning. The Center received $550,000 from the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development’s MoExcels Workforce Initiative. The facility will house the Mosaic Life Care Auxiliary Community lab and expand Missouri Western’s graduates who receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing by 15 percent.

The state program requires a match from local partners. For the Center, the partners included Mosaic Life Care, Mosaic Life Care Auxiliary, the Mosaic Life Care Foundation, and the Missouri Western State University foundation.
