Parson On Plocher Controversy

(Missourinet) The ethics committee of the Missouri House is meeting today at the State Capitol. And while their official agenda is off-limits to the public, it’s believed they may look into allegations of wrongdoing by House Speaker Dean Plocher.

The Missouri Independent reports he’s received reimbursement from the state for travel expenses that were already paid for by his campaign committee.

Governor Mike Parson is monitoring the situation and that it’s too early to speculate on Plocher’s political future.

Plocher said in a social media post that he self-reported and has corrected “administrative errors” in his travel expenses and begun reimbursing the state.

He’s seeking the Republican nomination for Lieutenant Governor.
