Parson Proposes Funding For Higher Education, Chip Manufacturing, Childcare Subsidies

The Missouri Legislature will get to work soon on Governor Mike Parson’s nearly 53 billion dollar state budget proposal.
Parson is proposing 1.1-billion dollars in core funding for Missouri’s public colleges and universities.
Parson’s budget proposal also includes 3.7 billion dollars in state aid to public schools, 93 million to improve low-volume rural roads and a 3.2 percent pay increase for Missouri 47,000 state employees.
