Parson says Filling Children’s Division Director Position is Top Priority

Missouri’s governor says it’s important to find the best qualified person to lead the Children’s Division, saying taking care of Missouri’s children continues to be a top priority.

There have now been six Children’s Division directors in the past seven years, and Governor Mike Parson hopes to bring stability to the agency.

Governor Parson says the agency’s deputy director has been doing a great job. Former Versailles State Representative David Wood resigned as Children’s Division director, after three months on the job.

The division works with families, communities and the courts toward ensuring the safety and well-bring of Missouri children.
