Pattonsburg Board Approves Health Insurance Coverage Play During April Session

Pattonsburg School Board members approved their health insurance coverage plan for the upcoming 2022-23 year during their April meeting. The board approved an option with MET that will increase the premium to $631.51 per month. Pattonsburg’s board will pay $500 towards that coverage per month. The board also approved a limit of 60 accumulated sick days for each year. All employees over the 60 days will be paid for those days in June at a rate of $30 per day.

Pattonsburg’s meeting was also a reorganizational meeting. Amanda “Mandy” Hulet and Brooke Johnson were sworn in to new Pattonsburg school board terms. Brian Teel will be the Pattonsburg board’s President, Josh Hulet-Vice President, Brooke Johnson-Treasurer, and Lyle Hoover-Secretary.

Pattonsburg’s board approved a cooperative football agreement with the Gilman City and North Harrison districts. The board discussed a cooperative softball agreement with Winston.

In executive session, Pattonsburg’s board hired Stan Coulson for Junior High Math, pre-algebra, and consumer math, Steve Yost and Dean Lewis for 7th through 12th grade history, Brandon Burkhead for Physical Education, and Annete Graber as a 4th grade teacher. Non-certified employees planning to return received letters of intent to employ with a pay raise. Pattonsburg’s board agreed to increase the base teacher’s salary to $31,500.
