Pattonsburg Board Approves Tax Rate
Pattonsburg School Board members approved a tax rate of $5.27 per hundred dollars of assessed valuation during their August meeting. The levy includes $4.71 for the incidental fund and 56 cents for the debt service fund.
Pattonsburg Superintendent Bill Pottorff reported an unrestricted fund balance of about 39 percent for the district. That is mainly due to COVID money. High School Principal Alan Hutchcraft reported an estimated enrollment of 88 students for grades 7th through 12th grade. The new phone system has been installed from Windstream.
The board approved the agreement with the Daviess County Health Department for a Nurse, Speech Services with the Harrison County Community Hospital, and the Local Compliance Statement. The Substitute Teacher list was also approved.
During the executive session, Pattonsburg’s board hired Lisa Hillyard as dishwasher/cook, Derrick Iddings as Assistant Football Coach, and Debbie Pottorff as part time Early Childhood Special Education Paraprofessional. The board discussed a School Protection Officer position. That will be discussed further this fall.
