Pickup Hits Tractor Causing Serious Injuries Monday Night
A pickup truck collided with the rear of a tractor in Gentry County Monday night.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that the two occupants of the truck were not wearing seatbelts and suffered serious injuries.
The driver of the truck, 21-year-old Jared J. Moffat was headed west on US-136 Highway with 18-year-old Seth K. Hutchinson. At around 9:28 pm, they crested a hill to find 64-year-old Russell D. Gillespie heading west in a tractor.
The truck crashed into the rear of the tractor sending both vehicles across the center line and off the south side of the highway. The vehicles traveled down a steep embankment, overturning and ejected Mr. Gillespie. The truck came to rest upside down while the tractor stopped on its wheels.
Gillespie suffered moderate injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Mosaic in Albany. Grand River Ambulance transported Hutchinson to Mosaic in St. Joe and Moffat to Mosaic in Albany.
