Platte City Man Charged in St. Joseph Shooting
A Platte City man has been charged in relation to a shooting case in St. Joseph.
Buchanan County authorities have charged 20-year-old Platte City resident Te’Avion Hawkins has been charged with a Class B felony for unlawful use of a weapon resulting in death or injury in relation to an incident August 9th. Authorities say Hawkins fired a weapon at a motor vehicle around 12:40 A.M. August 9th in the area of the 3000 block of Lafayette Street in St. Joseph.
A video of the incident shows a man exiting a parked vehicle and firing a weapon at another vehicle that was driving away.
The U.S. Marshall Service arrested Hawkins earlier this week. They say he is also being questioned in regards to the shooting later on August 9th that took the life of 2-year-old Raelynn Craig.
