Platte County Shotgun Range Closing July 1

A shotgun-only target range is closing in Platte County.
On July 1, the Missouri Department of Conservation will permanently close the shotgun-only target range at the Platte Falls Conservation Area east of Platte City in Platte County.
MDC says environmental concerns are prompting the closure of the range.
A public shotgun range at the Pigeon Hill Conservation Area south of St. Joseph, in Buchanan County, will remain open.
