(MISSOURINET) –  Missouri’s climate has taken a hit from the drought this fall, but there is some good news. Mizzou climatology professor Pat Guinan says recent rainfall has erased drought conditions in some parts of the state:

Guinan says hydrological concerns remain, as it will take time to dig out of the rainfall deficit that’s plagued Missouri since June. He adds that the lack of moisture in early fall combined with mid-October’s hard freeze brought an end to the growing season for pasture grass.
