Polo Man Allegedly Assaults Caldwell County Jail Staff Member

A prisoner behind bars with hands cuffed
A man from Polo faces charges after allegedly assaulting a Caldwell County Jail staff member.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed by Sergeant Tony Kirkendoll of the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, 63-year-old county inmate Jacob Dale Bishop punched a corrections officer in the face with a closed fist.
No injuries were reported and Bishop now faces a third-degree assault of a special victim. He is being held without bond and is expected to be in court on January 14th.
