Princeton Board Approves Tax Rate During August Session

Princeton School Board members approved the tax rate for the 2023-24 school year at their meeting held Monday.

Princeton’s tax rate will be $5.54 per $100 of assessed valuation. The levy was $5.24 last year. The levy amount includes the voluntary rollback of the debt service of 10 cents per hundred dollars of assessed valuation. The levy breakdown includes $4.41 in the Incidental Fund, $0.95 in the Debt Service Fund, and $0.18 in the Capital Projects Fund.

The board approved the 2023 Comprehensive School Improvement Plan, the Conflict of Interest Ordinance, and the Local Compliance Plan for Special Education.

The district has hired Rob Koon as Part Time Technology Assistant, Scott Lowe as Golf Coach, and Kami Stark as Lumen and MOSIS Coordinator.

Superintendent Jerry Girdner announced a starting date for school at Princeton of August 22nd.

The next Princeton School Board meeting will be September 11th.
