Princeton Man Strikes Mailbox and Overturns in Mercer County Crash

A Princeton man suffered injuries in a Mercer County crash early this morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred around 2:00 this morning on Highway A, a half mile north of Modena, as 21-year-old Luca D. Nichols drove southbound.

Troopers say Nichols went off the west side of the highway, struck a mailbox, returned to the road, went off the east side of the road, and overturned his Ford Ranger.

Nichols suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Wright Memorial Hospital.

Authorities say Nichols did wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.
