Twenty-eight year old Shelby Bryan Schooler was charged Monday in Mercer County with failing to register as a sex offender and as a sex offender being with 500 feet of a school.  Records from the Missouri State Highway Patrol show Schooler was convicted of child molestation in Mercer County in 2013 with a 14-year old victim. The most recent registry information shows Schooler with a Blue Springs address.  Bond has been denied in the new felony case.
