Princeton School Board Approves Re-Entry Plan

Princeton School Board members approved their COVID-19 School Re-entry Plan during their meeting Monday night.  The entire plan can be found at this link and through the Princeton School District’s website.

Board members approved a tax rate for the district after holding a tax rate hearing. Princeton’s school levy will be $5.16 per hundred dollars of assessed valuation for the year. That levy includes $4.03 into the General Fund, $0.95 into the Debt Service Fund, and $0.18 into the Capital Projects Fund. Last year’s levy was $5.10. The Debt Service Levy was also voluntarily reduced by 95 cents.

Princeton’s board approved an agreement for their MOCAP Virtual School provider. LAUNCH is a virtual program provided by the Springfield School District that will serve as Princeton’s 3rd party provider for virtual education for the district.

Board members approved the Open Lunch request of the senior class. That request will be permitted on the first day of classes for seniors. Conrad & Higgins was approved as the school auditor.

The Princeton School Board also received notice that the district received a 100% passing rating for the school’s 10 buses. The state average was 89%.

Princeton’s board accepted the resignation of Julia Probst as Paraprofessional. The board hired Danette Snapp as a Paraprofessional at the elementary school. Ila Rae Easter was approved as a Food Service Director.

Princeton’s first day of classes will be Tuesday, August 25th.
