PSC Approves Change In Evergy Missouri West DSIM Charge

It is rare that you hear about your monthly bills becoming cheaper, but thanks to a new approved filing from the Missouri Public Service Commission Evergy Missouri West customers will see a small decrease in their monthly electric bills.

The Public Service Commission has approved the filing which will adjust the Demand Side Programs Investment Mechanism charge on customer bills. This charge allows the company to recover demand-side management program costs and incentives.

Under this adjustment A residential customer using 1,000 kWh (kilowatt-hours) of electricity a month will see the charge decrease by approximately $1.06 a month effective February 1.

Evergy Missouri West provides electric service to approximately 336,640 customers including those in Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Carroll, Clay, Clinton, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Lafayette, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway, Platte, Ray, and Worth counties.
