PSC Sets Deadline to Comment on MAWC Trimble Sewer Takeover

The Missouri Public Service Commission has established the deadline for those wishing to intervene and participate in a sewer application case filed by Missouri-American Water Company (MAWC).

Missouri American Water is seeking Commission authority to purchase substantially all of the sewer assets of the City of Trimble system as well as substantially all of the sewer assets of Centennial Acres Association, Inc. which is located in or near Trimble in Clinton County. In addition, Missouri American Water is seeking Certificates of Convenience and Necessity to install, own, operate and maintain the sewer systems in those areas.

According to the PSC Staff recommendation in the case, they and MAWC worked together to develop a proposed service area that is modified from the original application. The modified service area incorporates the current MAWC service areas of Timber Springs and Clinton Estates that are adjacent to the City of Trimble and Centennial Acres, as well as the 3-cell lagoon that is located in the southwest portion of the requested service area.

If approved, this combined service area will provide the opportunity to interconnect the systems.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than January 29, 2021, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission.
