Public Comment Period For EPA’s New Proposed Atrazine Regulations Ends Friday

The new president of the Missouri Corn Growers Association says the comment period ends Friday for those wishing to comment on the change proposed by the EPA regarding atrazine requirements. The proposal would require atrazine concentrations to be 3.5 times lower than current regulations or reduce their application rates. Clint Stephens of the Missouri Corn Growers Association says there is a convenient way for those wishing to take a stand to voice opposition to the proposal.

The EPA allowed for a 30-day extension of the comment period until Friday, October 7th in response to feedback from various farm groups.
