Puppies for Parole at WMCC Donates to Help Wounded Soldiers

CAMERON, MO – The Missouri Puppies for Parole (P4P) Program at Western Missouri Correctional Center in Cameron held a special ceremony Wednesday at which time they donated $7,500 to Warriors Best Friend, a non-profit organization that provides service animals to veterans, at no cost, as well as providing expertly trained shelter dogs to schools to enhance the quality of life and education for children or adults with disabilities or special needs.

Each year, Puppies for Parole programs throughout the state of Missouri support local communities through fundraising efforts and give back through participation in local events.

Puppies for Parole within the Missouri Department of Corrections has trained over 5,000 dogs that have been adopted since 2010.
