Railsback Wins District 8 Rep Primary

Randy Railsback was the winner in Tuesday’s hotly contested District 8 State Representative race.

Four Republicans were vying for the seat in Jefferson City, with area republicans split fairly evenly among three of those candidates.

Randy Railsback ultimately came out on top of Tuesday’s voting with 2,959 votes, or 44.59-percent. Clinton County Clerk David Woody was the second-place finisher taking 2,212 votes, or 33.3-percent of the ballots.

Cameron’s Darlene Breckenridge was third place with 16.5-percent, or 1,095 votes. Gary Stroud was a distant fourth place taking just 369 votes.
