Ravenwood Teen Injured & Charged in Saturday Accident

A Ravenwood teen was injured and charged in a Saturday morning accident in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on Route EE, three miles east of Maryville, when a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Drew W. Wiederholt was heading southbound.
Troopers say Wiederholt went off the west side of the road and struck a ditch.
He suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mosaic Life Care, in Maryville, for treatment.
Troopers say Wiederholt was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Following the crash, troopers arrested Wiederholt on preliminary charges of driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, and not wearing a seat belt.
He was released for treatment.
