Ray County Wreck Leaves Three Hurt, One Seriously

 

A two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Ray County left three Richmond residents with injuries, one of them with reportedly serious injuries.

According to Troop A of the Highway Patrol the accident occurred at 11:14 A.M. at the intersection of Missouri Route 10 and Swofford Road when a 2005 Toyota being driven by 31-year-old Richmond resident Derek L. Darnell was unable to stop at the intersection due to the slick conditions and collided with a 2011 Chevrolet being driven by 64-year-old Richmond resident Steven E. Chrisco.

Chrisco and his passenger 56-year-old Karin L. Rohovit, also of Richmond, were both wearing seat belts and suffered minor injuries. They were taken to Ray County Hospital by Ray County EMS.

Darnell was also wearing a seat belt but suffered serious injuries. He was taken by Ray County EMS to Liberty Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
