Registered Sex Offender Arrested On Livingston County Warrant In Oklahoma

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department reports a registered sex offender has been arrested in Oklahoma on a Livingston County warrant and other warrants in Missouri.

44 year old Erick Nelson McKinney originally registered in Livingston County following a 2000 conviction in the state of Washington for 3rd degree Child Molestation.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office began on investigation on McKinney soon after he registered with the office due to concerns of false information on his registration. The office says there was probable cause to believe Mr. McKinney did not reside in the home he claimed and other issues and ,upon completion of that investigation, an arrest warrant was sought. Mr. McKinney had fled not just Livingston County but the State of Missouri and was found by law enforcement in Oklahoma. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office will extradite McKinney at first opportunity once his waiver has been signed.

The Sheriff’s office is currently speaking with the U.S. Marshalls Office for potential consideration of adopting this case as a federal violation due to the criminal history and non-compliance with registration requirements in addition to leaving the state.
