Resurfacing Project on U.S. Route 59 Delayed

A resurfacing project on U.S. Route 59 has been delayed.

The Missouri Department of Transportation says crews planned to resurface just over 13 miles of U.S. Route 59 from Route 752 in Saint Joseph to just north of Route 45.

Crews postponed Tuesday plans to begin that project on the left-turn lane on southbound U.S. Route 59 at Route 45.

MO-DOT says a new start date has not been established.

After working on the turn lane, crews plan to perform patching on the edges and center of the roadway.
