Resurfacing scheduled for a portion of Andrew County U.S. Route 59

A resurfacing project set to begin next week on U.S. 59 Highway in Andrew County could delay drivers in the area.

Workers with Herzog Contracting and Mo-Dot will be resurfacing a five-and-a-half mile stretch of Highway 59 between Interstate 29 and U.S. Route 71. Crews plan to begin milling off the old pavement at transition points near bridges inside the project limits on Friday, May 7. On Thursday, May 13, crews will begin resurfacing, followed by shoulder work and striping.

All work is anticipated to be complete on, or before Tuesday, May 25.

Flaggers and a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. A 12-foot width restriction will be in place for the duration of the project.

All work is weather permitting and could be rescheduled.
