Resurfacing Work Scheduled For Route 116 in Clinton County

A new, smoother driving surface is planned for Route 116 in Clinton County between Lathrop and Plattsburg.

Herzog Contracting Corp., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will resurface Route 116 from just west of Route 33 and Route A in Lathrop to Plattsburg during daylight hours Tuesday, September 29 through Thursday, October 1.

Crews will begin work in Lathrop and work west to Horse Fork Creek east of Plattsburg.

The roadway will be reduced to one lane with flaggers and a pilot car directing motorists through the work zone.

Drivers will experience delays, both directions, on Route 116 as they must wait for a pilot car.

Drivers entering Route 116 from a side road must also wait for a pilot car.

A 10-foot width restriction will be in place.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
