Richmond Man Injured & Charged in Ray County Crash Thursday Morning

A Richmond man suffered injuries and faces charges in a Thursday morning accident in Ray County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 11:05 Thursday morning on West 120th Street, west of North Garner Road, as 44-year-old Scott A. Skiles drove westbound.

Troopers say Skiles slid on ice, went off the left side of the road, and struck a tree.

Skiles suffered serious injuries and sought treatment at Liberty Hospital.

Authorities say Skiles did not wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Following the crash, troopers arrested Skiles on preliminary charges of felony driving while intoxicated, not having valid insurance, and careless and imprudent driving.
