Richmond Man Injured in Ray County Crash Wednesday

A Richmond man suffered injuries in a Ray County crash Wednesday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 12:20 Wednesday afternoon on Highway 210, at Route EE, as a 17-year-old male Camden teen drove northbound.

Troopers say the teen failed to yield at a stop sign and struck a westbound vehicle driven by 43-year-old Richmond resident Michael G. Desmond.

Desmond suffered serious injuries and sought treatment at North Kansas City Hospital.

Authorities say the teen suffered minor injuries and also sought treatment at North Kansas City Hospital.

Troopers report only Desmond wore a seat belt at the time of the crash.
