Richmond Woman Injured in Jackson County Crash Wednesday

A Richmond woman suffered injuries in a Jackson County crash Wednesday evening.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 5:05 Wednesday night on Highway 210, just east of 291, as 71-year-old Richmond resident Clare I. Cummings drove eastbound.

Troopers say Cummings failed to stop for a red light and struck the driver’s side of a northbound vehicle driven by 22-year-old Kansas City, Missouri, resident Brian E. Sanchez Perez.

Cummings suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at North Kansas City Hospital.

Troopers listed no injuries for Sanchez Perez.

Authorities say all involved wore seat belts at the time of the crash.
