Richmond Woman Injured in Ray County Crash This Morning

A Richmond woman was injured in an accident this morning in Ray County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on Highway 10, at Route O, when a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Twyla K. Berg was heading eastbound.

Troopers say Berg was struck on the passenger side by 35-year-old Excelsior Springs resident Ace M. Whitworth after Whitworth failed to stop at a posted stop sign.

Berg suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment.

Troopers say Berg and Whitworth were both wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
