Rosecrans Selected For Federal Funding For New Passenger Terminal
Missouri Senator Roy Blunt says Rosecrans Memorial Airport in St Joseph will receive part of $5.2 million dollars to reconstruct their commercial passenger terminal.
Rosecrans is one of three Missouri airports that has been selected for funding from the Airport Terminal Program. The program was created as part of the Infrastructure and Jobs Act and provides $1 billion annually for five years for Airport Terminal grants. Rosecrans will receive nearly $2 million dollars in this funding cycle. The funding will replace the existing terminal with a new passenger terminal. The new terminal will be constructed above the 100-year flood zone. The funding will also be used to improve energy efficiency and meet ADA requirements.
The Waynesville-Saint Robert Regional Airport and the Hannibal Regional Airport were also Missouri Airports selected for funding.
