Route Z Resurfacing Set For Tomorrow

A resurfacing project on two lettered routes has reached the halfway point.

The Missouri Department of Transportation says crews completed the resurfacing of Daviess/Caldwell County Route J from Route 6 in Altamont to U.S. Route 36 and Grundy County Route Z from Route 6 to U.S. Route 65. Work on Route J Tuesday.

The contractor plans to begin paving Route Z tomorrow, Thursday, April 9.

Route Z will be narrowed to one lane in two-mile segments for the paving.

Flaggers and a pilot car will direct motorists through the area.

Delays are to be expected.

Crews plan to work daylight hours, Monday through Friday.

When Route Z is complete, crews will stripe both routes.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
