Rowden Says MO Senate Republicans Must Do Better; Rizzo Gives Shoutout to the 11 Female Senators

(MISSOURINET) – Missouri Senate Majority Leader Caleb Rowden says he might give his chamber a C for the work it has completed so far this session. The Senate has been embroiled in Republican bickering – fueling the further right-leaning Republicans to block the passage of bills. The Legislature has passed one bill so far this session. Rowden, of Columbia, says Republicans we should not take for granted they control the legislature because he says Democrats will one day be in charge again.

The Senate did pass a few bills Thursday, including one that aims to boost literacy skills among K-12 students and another that would exempt sales tax on 2026 World Cup soccer tournament tickets – an effort to lure the sporting event to Kansas City.
