Saturday Ray County Crash Leaves Two With Serious Injuries

A Hardin woman and an 8-year-old from Kansas CIty were both left with serious injuries in a one vehicle crash Saturday in Ray County.

Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol says 65-year-old Hardin resident Sharon L. Feil was driving a 2017 Ford Escape westbound on Missouri Route 10 east of Young Road in Ray County at 4:19 P.M. Saturday when the vehicle went off the right side of the highway, struck an embankment, went airborne, and overturned.

The Highway Patrol says neither Feil, nor her 8-year-old passenger, were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash and both suffered serious injuries. The 8-year-old Kansas City boy was taken by Carroll County EMS to Children’s Mercy in Kansas City while Feil was taken by Lawson EMS to North Kansas City Hospital.
