A Savannah man was left with moderate injuries following a two car accident this (Tuesday) morning in Andrew County.

According to the accident report from Troop H of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on U.S. Highway 71 about three miles north of Savannah at 6:44 A.M. when 58-year-old Savannah resident Benjamin D. Woosley pulled away from a stop sign and into the path of a 2006 Honda pickup truck being driven southbound by 21-year-old Plattsburg resident Kaitlin C. Christeson.

Christeson’s truck hit the rear end of Woosley’s truck which went off the right side of the roadway and came to rest in a ditch.

Christeson was wearing a seat belt and escaped without injury, while Woosley was not buckled up and suffered moderate injures. He was taken by Andrew County Ambulance to Mosiac Life Care in St. Joseph for treatment.
