Savannah pair Facing Drug Charges in Newton County

A pair of Savannah residents are facing felony drug charges along with misdemeanor charges after being arrested in southwest Missouri’s Newton County Saturday night.

According to Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Savannah residents 24-year-old Brandon D. Eddy and 31-year-old Carissa M. Eddy were both arrested at 9:45 P.M. Saturday night for felony possession of a controlled substance for having a psilocybin mushroom candy bar, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Brandon Eddy was also charged with a count of failing to place a vehicle not in motion as far right as practical.

Both individuals were cited and released from the scene.
