Savannah Senior Suffers Injuries In Andrew County Wreck

A Savannah senior citizen suffered moderate injuries in a two vehicle crash in Andrew County this (Tuesday) morning.

According to Troop H of the Highway Patrol the accident happened at 7:58 A.M. on southbound U.S. Highway 71 just south of Andrew County Road 58 when a 1998 Toyota 4-Runner driven by 38-year-old Bolckow resident Donald M. Potter failed to yield to a 2012 Toyota Prius being driven by 83-year-old Savannah resident James W. Edwards hitting that vehicle in the rear end.

Potter was not wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries. He refused treatment at the scene. Edwards was wearing a seat belt but suffered moderate injuries. He was taken by Andrew County EMS to Mosaic In St. Joseph for treatment.
