Scrub Seal Work Hits Caldwell County

Contractors working on a scrub seal project across several Northwest Missouri routes are working quickly and will soon move to Caldwell County.

Vance Brothers, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will begin the scrub seal on Route 116 in Caldwell County between Route D and Route A in the afternoon today, Friday, July 10.

Crews plan to complete Route 116 by the middle of next week.

The scrub seal on Route 33 in Clinton County between Route 116 and the Clay County line was completed earlier this week and work on Route PP in Clinton County between Route 33 and U.S. Route 69 should wrap up soon.

During these scrub seal operations, the roadway will be reduced to one lane with flaggers and a pilot car directing motorist through the work zone.

Drivers will experience delays, both directions, as they must wait for a pilot car.

Drivers entering from a side road onto the route being sealed must also wait for a pilot car.

These are part of a larger project to seal roads across 13 counties in Northwest Missouri.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
