Second Defendant Pleads Guilty in Shooting of 2-Year-Old Girl

A second man has pleaded guilty to murder charges in the shooting death of a 2-year-old girl in St. Joseph last summer.

On Thursday 21-year-old Marcain Kimbrough-Ballard entered a guilty to plea to charges of 2nd degree murder in the death of 2-year-old Raelynn Craig last August. Kimbrough-Ballard admitted to being in the back seat of the vehicle and firing shots at another vehicle. He said he did not know the child was in the other vehicle.

Kimbrough-Ballard will be back in court Monday, March 15 at 10 A.M. for sentencing.

The third defendant in the case, Te’Avion Hawkins, is due in court Thursday, February 25 at 2 P.M.
