Second Harvest Canceling Numerous Fresh Mobile Pantry Stops

America’s Second Harvest in St. Joseph has announced a reduction in the popular Fresh Mobile Pantry program that delivered food to a number of area communities.

Due to rising operating costs, including increased food and fuel costs, as well as decreases in donations and available product, Second Harvest says they will be conducting fewer Fresh Mobile Pantries each month and that a number of locations will no longer be stops starting in August.

Starting in August 12 current stops will be discontinued. Those stops include Winston, Polo, the ROC in St. Joseph, White Cloud, Braymer, Maryville, Lathrop, Elwood, Reserve, Bethany, Ludlow, and Skidmore. Stops this month will continue as previously scheduled.

Those affected are encouraged to check the August calendar on Second Harvest’s website to confirm new locations, days, and times for Fresh Mobile Pantry stops.

Second Harvest can also provide information on other resources in areas that have had their Fresh Mobile Pantry stop discontinued.
