Semi Accident in Grundy County Injures Trenton Man

A Trenton man was minorly injured in an accident with a semi in Grundy County.

According to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, 47-year old Jason E. Hunter of Trenton was driving eastbound on MO-6 in Grundy County, one mile east of Trenton.

Behind Hunter was 41-year-old Donald F. Hand III in a Volvo Semi. Hunter slowed to make a right turn and Hand turned right to avoid the collision. At 6:18 pm Thursday, the semi struck the rear bumper of Hunter’s vehicle. Hunter came to rest in the eastbound lane facing north with Hand’s semi coming to rest on the shoulder.

Assistance at the scene was provided by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Grundy County Fire, and MODOT.

Both drivers were wearing safety devices and Hunter suffered a minor injury. He was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital by Grundy EMS.
