Senator Hegeman Among State Lawmakers Working to Pass State Budget before Friday’s Deadline

(MISSOURINET) –  A group of Missouri House and Senate members are expected to work out their differences this week on the next state budget.

The 45-billion-dollar budget proposal includes fully funding Medicaid expansion, the state’s share of K-12 public school transportation and 6.3-million-dollars to eliminate a waiting list of families trying to find out if their child has autism.

We asked Senate Appropriations Committee Chair Dan Hegeman if he has any non-negotiables.

Tick tock – the deadline to pass the plan is this Friday.
