Several Contested Elections Set for August Primary

Five candidates signed up for the 6th District U.S. Representative seat currently held by Sam Graves on the first day of filing.

Republican candidates include Brandon Kleinmeyer of Parkville; Dakota Shultz of Greentop and incumbent Sam Graves of Tarkio. Henry Martin of Kansas City and Charles West of Canton filed for the seat on the Democrat ticket.

For the U.S. Senate that will be vacated by Roy Blunt, 15 have filed on the Republican side, including Attorney General Eric Schmitt, former Governor Eric Greitens and St. Louis attorney Mark McCloskey. Eight have filed as Democrats, including Gena Ross of Platte City.  [Full List of Candidates]

For State offices, J. Eggleston of Maysville filed for 12th District State Senator. He is opposed on the Republican ticket by Delus Johnson of Country Club, Missouri.

Three have filed for State Auditor, David Gregory of St. Louis, incumbent Scott Fitzpatrick of Shell Knob and Alan Green of Florissant.

Filing for the August Primary Election ends on March 29th.
