Shotgun Range at Platte Falls Conservation Area Set to Close

PLATTE COUNTY, MO – Environmental concerns have prompted the closure of the shotgun range at the Platte Falls Conservation Area east of Platte City.
The Missouri Department of Conservation will permanently close the range on July 1st. The department says they will explore future options for a new shotgun range in the Kansas City metro area.
Ranges are still available at MDC’s Lake City Shooting Range near Blue Springs and at Pigeon Hill Conservation Area south of St. Joseph.
