Skidmore Accident Injures 2 Drivers

Two drivers were taken to the hospital following an accident just east of Skidmore Tuesday afternoon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident took place at the junction of Missouri Highway 113 and Highway V. 87 year old James Boyles of Maryville turned left at a T-intersection and failed to yield to another vehicle driven by 48 year old Robin Lewis of Fairfax. After impact, both vehicles came to rest in the southbound lane of 113 and partially blocked the road.

Both vehicles were totaled. Both drivers received moderate injuries. Boyles was taken to Mosaic Life Care in Maryville. Lewis was taken to a Fairfax hospital. The patrol reported moderate injuries for both drivers.

The accident took place around 3:45pm Tuesday afternoon.

The Nodaway County Sheriff’s Department and the Skidmore Fire Department assisted the Highway Patrol.
